Studio-Lani's creative process is driven by conceptual curiosity, global artistry and a strong appreciation for her West African heritage. Blurring the lines between Art and Design, Studio-Lani creates sculptural furniture pieces, with a unique identity and a contemporary sensibility.
Studio-Lani has been featured in Vogue Magazine, Dwell, Design Milk, The Globe & Mail, Luxury Canada and Core 77 amongst other publications. She has also been invited to exhibit at various International design shows; such as NYC's Wanted Design, ICFF, Design Boom Mart, Toronto IDS, Vancouver IDS and ACDF (African Culture & Design Festival).
Studio-Lani recently won the Furniture category for Wanted Design's Launch Pad in New York City. And was also a finalist at the European product design awards competition.
Lani Adeoye was raised in Nigeria and Immigrated to Canada with her family when she was around 10 years old. She later moved to New York City to study at parsons. After graduating from Parsons, she worked at various Architecture and Design firms, including an Architectural Digest 100 Company were she gained valuable experience on a variety of luxury projects.
Prior to moving to New York and transitioning into design, Lani spent time in Management & IT Consulting, working with Fortune Global 100 clients following her graduation from McGill University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Commerce. Her versatility as a designer is a testament to her eclectic roots and diverse life experiences, having lived in four major cities, namely Lagos, Montreal, Toronto and New York.
Lani is a strong believer in the power of design as a tool to solve problems, empower communities and positively impact our livelihood. Lani enjoys collaborating on design projects at various scales and she welcomes a creative challenge!
